About.
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Kerry Martin and I'm an independent artist based in Colchester, UK.
My subjects are predominantly animals, which I render in watercolour paint. Having always loved animals and nature I am constantly inspired by the animals I encounter on our frequent dog walks and those living in Colchester zoo.
I always strive to capture the character and innocence of the animals in my art work, carefully building the layers of paint to bring each piece to life and to awaken a kindness and compassion from my viewers.
Art has always been a passion of mine and I feel so grateful to be able to share my work with all of you.
I have been fortunate enough to have had works displayed in numerous locations in Essex and recently had a piece exhibit on the main stage of Vegfest UK in London.
When I'm not creating new art or products, you will find me at home surrounded by my rescue dogs whilst enjoying a good book.

Commissions process.
Pet portraits make wonderful gifts for pet owners. For many of us our pets are our best friends. A portrait of your pet is a wonderful keepsake for yourself or gift for a friend or family member.
As I work from photography it is also possible for me to include multiplet pets in one painting.
Many of my commissioned pet portraits are for beloved pets that have passed. With a good quality photo to work from I can create a comforting keepsake of your beloved friend.
